MH/SA Counselor for Correctional Facilities (Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center)

Under general supervision, employee is responsible for providing therapeutic, case management services, and crisis intervention to mental health and substance abuse clients involved in the criminal justice system.
Case management services include hospital discharge planning and outreach services.
Employee provides crisis intervention on an on-call basis as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services.
Employee acts as a liaison between the Counseling Center, jail, and psychiatric institutions (both public and private) and hospitals, relaying appropriate clinical information.
Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, clients, families, public, and service providers.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEMasters Degree preferred, but will accept a BS/BA Degree in Human Services Field; and 1 to 2 years experience in emergency/crisis services or case management; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSMust possess a valid Virginia Driver's License and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.
Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results by first day of employment, and yearly thereafter as required by licensing authority.
The agency of MPNN Community Services Board maintains a drug free workplace.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
